96 points for the upcoming release

2024 Granjoux Chardonnay will be released in early August. Ahead of its official release (August 15), we're delighted to share an early glimpse of our 2024 Granjoux Chardonnay with an exceptional review from Campbell Mattinson at The WineFront. Awarding the wine 96 points, Campbell describes it as:

"A seriously powerful white wine. Beechworth Chardonnay really steps up to the plate here."

He goes on to highlight aromas and flavours of white peach, almonds, cedarwood, crushed fennel and smoky mineral complexity, noting that while the oak is initially prominent, the wine's fruit, earth and stony character quickly take centre stage. His final assessment is perhaps the most exciting of all:

"This will be a killer wine once it's had some extra time in bottle."

The 2024 Chardonnay continues our philosophy of crafting small-production, site-driven wines that reward patience and express the remarkable character of Beechworth. With only a limited number of bottles produced, we're looking forward to releasing the wine to our mailing list members and select retail partners this August.
